Travelling from Hatyai to Koh Lipe requires the minibus and ferry service to reach the island. Koh Lipe is described as “The Maldives of Thailand” because of its crystal clear water and white sand. There are many ways to travel to Koh Lipe but from Hatyai to Koh Lipe is one of the easiest way to Koh Lipe.
Travelling from Hatyai to Koh Lipe has two portions of journey.
The first part is by minibus or van from Hatyai to Pak Bara pier, taking about 2 hours land journey.
The second part is by ferry or speedboat to Koh Lipe, taking about 2 hours sea journey. Pak Bara pier is the main pier to go Koh Lipe. The speedboat service runs throughout the year unless otherwise noted.
Sea Holiday & Bundhaya is the only operator serving combo service from Hat Yai to Koh Lipe.
The minibus or van departs daily 8.30am and 9:15am from Hatyai to Pak Bara pier. As the road journey taking about 2 hours to reach Pak Bara Pier, passengers would be on time to either catch the first ferry service at 11.00am or last ferry service at 3.00pm to Koh Lipe.
Speedboat or ferry is available between 11:00am and 3:00pm. During peak season in December, there are many ferry or speedboat transfers between 11.00am and 3.00pm.
The joint service ticket price is charged at THB900.
The boarding point is at Hat Yai.
The arrivals point in Koh Lipe is at Bundhaya Speed Boat Counter at Floating platform.
