Travelling from Koh Samui to Krabi consists of the ferry and bus or van services. Deployment of bus or van is depending on number of passengers on the travelling date. Both Koh Samui and Krabi are the popular island and beach attractions in Southern Thailand, drawing thousands of visitors annually. Travelling from Koh Samui to Krabi has two portions of journey.
The first part is by ferry from Nathon Pier Koh Samui to mainland Raja Ferry Port (also called Donsak Pier), taking about 1.5 hours to 2 hours. The ferry is large and it is stable even at the rough sea conditions. Those ferries undergo regular safety checks by the Thai Royal Navy.
Once the ferry terminates at the Raja Ferry Port (Donsak Pier), passengers need to transfer to bus or van to Krabi, taking about 2 to 2.5 hours.
